Important Update: Your Client's ChamberCare Health Alliance Benefits Are Changing October 1, 2025

At Anthem, our priority is to provide high-quality, affordable health plans while delivering a positive experience for members, employers, and brokers alike. Recent changes proposed and implemented by the Chamber Benefit Arrangement of Indiana Trust will increase the cost and alter the administration, both making it difficult for us to continue fulfilling our promise through the partnership with the ChamberCare Health Alliance (CHA) MEWA.

Due to several programmatic changes and additional fees implemented by the Trust, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has made the difficult decision not to offer a renewal to the Chamber Benefit Arrangement of Indiana Trust and end our partnership.

Anthem is not going forward with the normal renewal process for 10/1/25. Instead, Anthem will be delivering a renewal to every employer utilizing Anthem Balanced Funding (ABF)—a cost-effective solution that has already proven successful for many small businesses across Indiana. With this transition, plan designs, medical network, pharmacy network and formulary will remain intact. Deductibles and out-of-pocket amounts will seamlessly transfer. Plus, employers will no longer have to pay membership fees. Our experienced Sales team is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and seamless transition for you and your clients.

Despite this change, our unwavering commitment to supporting Indiana businesses with affordable, reliable health plan solutions remains firm. We are actively exploring new partnerships to continue expanding the health plan options available to you and your clients.
