Introducing Supplemental Health Plan Coverage for Georgia Small Businesses

We’re offering supplemental health plans for existing Chamber SMART and Chamber Plus plan groups. Effective April 1, 2026, these plans aim to help members better manage out-of-pocket costs by covering unexpected medical expenses.

Supplemental health plan offerings:

• Accident: Receive a fixed, lump-sum payment for covered accidental injuries and related medical services.
• Critical illness: Benefits for specific illnesses diagnosed after the effective date, such as invasive cancer, heart attacks, and strokes.
• Hospital indemnity: Fixed daily benefits for inpatient hospitalization due to injury or illness.

Key features for Anthem Chamber SMART plan groups include:

• A three-year rate guarantee
• October 1 renewal date
• Incentives for groups that purchase multiple products
• Shelf rate with no additional underwriting
• The flexibility to be added on or off renewal

Participation requirements:

• Groups with fewer than 51 employees: Minimum of three employees per product.
• Groups with 51+ employees: At least one product must be sold to 10% of eligible employees or 10 enrolled lives, whichever is greater.
