We have been in discussions for several months with MU Health Care to keep them in-network for your clients’ healthcare plans. However, MU Health Care has notified Anthem that its hospitals and physicians will leave our care provider networks on April 1, 2025. If we are unable to reach an agreement by April 1, 2025, MU Health Care will leave the network.
If they leave, your clients’ employees may pay more for care received from MU Health Care doctors and facilities.
We will be sending a letter to your clients’ employees on February 28, 2025, explaining this change and how it will impact their care and costs. Their plan may allow them to stay with a MU Health Care doctor or facility for a limited time if they’re receiving certain types of care. Their plan documents include more information about continuity of care.
Anthem wants to keep MU Health Care in our networks, and we remain committed to reaching a new agreement. We will continue to negotiate in good faith on behalf of our members and employers.
