Anthem has developed comprehensive underwriting guidelines that outline the definitions and applicable rules around qualification, eligibility, and other important information about the health plans we administer.
As a reminder, these guidelines provide direction on how and when Anthem issues refunds and credits. Specifically, Anthem may apply refunds and credits for employee terminations, with a maximum of 60 days retroactive credit.
It’s imperative all employers review their invoice monthly for any changes and report those to Anthem in a timely fashion. If we do not receive notice within 60 days of the requested effective date, the request will not be granted.
