Pregnancy and early childhood support with a focus on healthy families

Our pregnancy-care program, Future Moms, is changing to Building Healthy Families (upstate / downstate), starting January 1, 2024. The program went live in 2023 to Large Group ASO, JAA, and National groups and will now become available to Fully Insured, Individual, Small Group, Administrative Services Only, MEWA, Student Business and Anthem Balanced Funding groups.

The definition of a family has changed since Future Moms launched many years ago. Building Healthy Families is designed to allow your clients to be more responsive to a wider array of employee needs and provide better support for returning to work.  Building Healthy Families is an end-to-end digital solution that goes beyond traditional maternity support to offer helpful resources from preconception through early parenthood. This new maternal health program offers more digital engagement (PDF) (upstate / downstate). Members will have 24/7 access to the program through the SydneySM Health mobile app, Engage, or our website (upstate / downstate).

Pregnant members receive added personalized support from:

  • Family Care Coaches available by in-app chat to provide non-clinical personal assistance and triage.
  • Nurse Care Management referrals for high-risk pregnancies available through digital chat or telephone support.

Building Healthy Families was built to meet the needs of today’s modern workforce and is powered by AI to create a personalized experience.
