Coming soon: Merger endorsement notifications for former Anthem Life customers and brokers

Within the next 2 weeks, we will mail merger endorsements to former Anthem Life customers with instructions to update the company name in their policies and certificates.

The Standard will also mail a sample of the letter and endorsement to brokers so they can preview the communications their client will receive. Brokers will receive the letter in the next two weeks.

We’ve updated The Standard/Anthem Broker FAQs to add information about the merger endorsements.

The notification schedule for former Anthem Life customers has not changed:

• The Standard will mail former Anthem Life Insurance Company groups merger endorsements in the coming months, once all states approve the merger endorsement filing.
• Former Anthem Life & Disability Insurance Company groups received merger endorsements with the merger notification letter sent on May 9, 2025.
