Anthem pays annual rebates to Fully Insured groups when their medical loss ratio (MLR) is less than 85% for Large Groups or 80% for Small Groups and Individuals. Each year, we contact impacted groups to verify group size. We use that information to distribute accurate rebates. This year, we will ask for 2020 group size for distribution of MLR rebates in 2022.
We appreciate your partnership and trust and want you to know that we’ll start emailing information requests to qualifying Small and Large Group clients soon. We may send additional emails if we don’t receive a response. We’ll use current membership numbers for groups that don’t respond. We won’t contact clients when we already have the information we need.
