CarelonRx Pharmacy will replace CarelonRx Mail on January 1

Starting January 1, 2024, CarelonRx Pharmacy will become the home delivery pharmacy for members who use CarelonRx, our pharmacy benefit manager, and members filling prescriptions with CarelonRx Mail will transition to CarelonRx Pharmacy.

CarelonRx Pharmacy enhances existing pharmacy benefits such as free standard delivery and auto refills with new features, including:

• 24/7 Text, chat, or talk with a pharmacist.
• Easy-to-use online tools.
• Information about lower cost options.
• Money-saving coupons.
• Enhanced order tracking.

Created to meet member’s specific needs, CarelonRx Pharmacy will help close care gaps, improve adherence, and lower costs —while removing barriers associated with the traditional retail and mail-order pharmacy models.

Transition Steps:

• Member notification letters: Letters will be sent to most commercial members 30 days before migration. The letters will be sent 60 days before migration for plans in Maine, and 90 days before migration for plans in Nevada. Members in those two states will get a reminder letter in December, before migration.
• Transfer of prescriptions: If a member has refills left, they will be automatically transferred to CarelonRx Pharmacy, as will auto refill preferences.
• New prescriptions: If a member doesn’t have any medication refills left, CarelonRx will contact the member’s doctor and have them send a new prescription to CarelonRx Pharmacy.
