COVID-19 enrollment extensions end in July

With the end of the COVID-19 National Emergency on May 11, 2023, health-plan related extensions will end on July 10, 2023.

During the emergency, those deadlines were extended for up to one year.

The extensions ending are for:

Enrollment requests due to a qualifying special enrollment event:
- Loss of eligibility for other coverage
- Marriage
- Birth
- Adoption/placement for adoption
COBRA election periods, COBRA premium payments, and notifications of disability.
Member submitted claims, appeals, or requests for internal or external review of adverse determinations.

Any extensions still in effect will end on July 10, 2023, and standard deadlines will apply.
