Our Productivity Solutions integrated disability and medical benefits study found that integrating disability and medical benefits resulted in:
- 67% of short-term disability claimants returned to work early when disability claim managers and medical care managers worked together.
- 4.7% lower short-term disability claim duration when members engaged with a medical care manager or health coach.
- $66 per member per month medical cost savings when members engaged with medical case managers when referred by short-term disability claim managers.
