Annual MLR survey will be sent to employers beginning July 8

Anthem pays annual rebates to fully insured groups when their medical loss ratio (MLR) is less than 85 percent for large groups or 80 percent for small groups. Each year, we contact affected groups to verify group size. We use the information to calculate rebates. This year, we’ll ask for 2025 group size for MLR rebates.

We’ll start emailing the surveys to qualifying Small Group and Large Group clients in early July. We’ll send follow-up emails if groups don’t respond to the first message. For groups that don’t respond at all, we’ll use current membership numbers.
