Important updates for 2027

  • For 2027, we are simplifying our portfolio to two networks: Blue Value and Pathway. Members must select a primary care physician (PCP), but referrals are not required.
  • Pathway will continue to be available statewide. The Lower Copay PCP benefit and providers have been expanded beyond Atlanta, although they may not be available in every area. Members can identify Lower Copay PCP providers through Find Care by selecting the Lower Copay PCP filter under the Pathway HMO Network 2027 option.
  • As part of this portfolio simplification, Pathway Guided Access and Pathway PCP Copay Choice plans will no longer be offered. Affected members will be renewed into a similar Pathway plan.
  • Select Bronze and Silver Pathway plans will include Heart Healthy benefits. These plans can be identified by “Heart Healthy” in the plan name, and affected members will be notified in their renewal materials. Heart Healthy benefits are an enhancement available to all members enrolled in the plan and are not limited to individuals with heart conditions.
  • All on-exchange Bronze plans, their off-exchange equivalents, and Catastrophic (CAT) plans will include “HSA” in the plan name, making it easier to identify plans eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA).
  • The Blue Value Individual Network HMO is expanding to all counties in the Athens area.
  • Anthem renewal notices will not include on-exchange estimated premiums. Instead, members will be directed to the renewal notice provided by Georgia Access for premium information.

Sydney Health is offered through an arrangement with Carelon Digital Platforms, a separate company offering mobile application services on behalf of your health plan.

1 Nationally recommended preventive care services received in-network have no copay and no deductible requirement.

2 Virtual care visits, including video visits using the Sydney Health app are at no cost to members for most plans (however, it may be subject to the deductible depending upon the terms of the plan). Virtual care visits refer to video consultations, as deemed appropriate by a licensed physician. In addition to using a telehealth service, you can receive in-person or virtual care from your own doctor or another healthcare provider in your plan’s network. If you receive care from a doctor or healthcare provider not in your plan’s network, your share of the costs may be higher. You may also receive a bill for any charges not covered by your health plan.
