Personal Producing Agencies (PPAs) can now initiate appointments for their subagents in Producer Toolbox. PPAs can establish a single appointment, multiple appointments, or change the agency principal on the Appointment tab.
Once the agency is registered on Producer Toolbox, PPAs can begin creating appointments for their subagents by following these steps:
- Initiate appointments for subagents on the Appointment tab under the Account Details area of the portal.
- Select the desired appointment state for the subagent or notify the subagent to make their own selections to complete initiating the appointment.
Commission payments will default to the agency submitting the appointment instead of the subagents choosing the assignment of commissions.
After the agency completes the initiation, we will send an email to the subagent with step-by-step instructions to complete the appointment.
As part of this process, an agency can monitor the status of the appointment submission, resend the email to the subagent, or rescind the appointment from the appointment dashboard.
Certain exclusions apply:
- If the PPA agency principal is associated with a Field Marketing Organization (FMO)/Electronic Maintenance Organization (EMO)/Managing General Agency (MGA), the PPA agency cannot submit an appointment for the Senior Line of Business.
- If the PPA agency principal is associated with a Field Marketing Organization (FMO)/Electronic Maintenance Organization (EMO)/Managing General Agency (MGA), and ONLY has Senior Line of Business, the PPA agency cannot appoint any lines of business for that agent.
- Ohio agencies that work under an OH General Agency cannot use this process.
