Through a strategic partnership between Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the SMART Plan (SMART) offers Small Group employers access to comprehensive health coverage at rates typically reserved for larger organizations.
SMART allows small businesses to join a larger, self-funded group that shares overall claims risk — delivering competitive, predictable monthly costs with built-in stop loss protection. For many employers, it’s a strong alternative to traditional ACA small group plans.
Why SMART matters
- Lower, predictable costs: Fixed monthly payments and financial safeguards help protect employers from high-cost claims.
- Broad network access: Employees gain access to Anthem’s Blue Open Access POS network and the national BlueCard® program, which includes more than 1.7 million doctors and hospitals nationwide.
- Integrated, whole person care: Optional dental and vision benefits, plus 24/7 virtual care through the SydneySM Health app, help support better health outcomes and employee engagement.
Who’s eligible?
SMART is available to Georgia-based employers with two to 50 enrolled employees who are members in good standing with the Georgia Chamber or a participating local chamber. The plan was established as a simpler, more cost-effective way for Chamber members to offer group insurance.
