Kansas has introduced regulations that may impact members with pharmacy coverage and pricing arrangements with Anthem or CarelonRx. CarelonRx will make multiple changes for non-ERISA clients with pharmacy claims in Kansas to address the impacts resulting from these laws. Clients are impacted in the following ways: For clients without transparent pricing, all claims in Kansas will be assessed a $1.50 pass-through pricing administrative fee. Kansas claims will now be reimbursed at National Average Drug Acquisition Cost (NADAC), (or Wholesale Acquisition Cost [WAC]) if NADAC is not available), with a $10.50 dispensing fee. All claims in Kansas will be excluded from any pricing guarantees. Claims processed between 7/1/2026 and 9/30/2026 will be reversed and reprocessed to reflect the Kansas state mandate pricing. Clients will be notified via email or letter regarding these changes. CarelonRx is in the process of implementing the above-described changes and requirements.
