Anthem Blue Cross continues to negotiate in good faith with Scripps Health, and we remain hopeful that we will reach agreement for Scripps Health to stay in our PPO network.
However, while we wanted Scripps Clinic and Scripps Coastal Medical Center to continue participating in our HMO network, they have decided to leave the network effective October 1, 2026. Our priority is to ensure our members have uninterrupted access to high-quality care in their local community, so we have begun assigning new in-network primary care physicians to our HMO members who use Scripps Health physicians. These PCP changes are effective October 1, 2026. Anthem has a dedicated team available to assist affected members with questions about their new PCP and care options.
